Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 February corr. Trend Z. Safarov/ The Azerbaijani weightlifting team will take part in the international tournament of A category, which will start from 12 February in Iran.
The team includes Zulfugar Suleymanov ( 62 kg), Afgan Bayramov, Asif Mammadov ( 69 kg), Namig Jamilov ( 77 kg), Intigam Zairov, Ziyad Durmushov ( 84 kg), Rovshan Fatullayev ( 94 kg) and Aydin Mammadov ( 105 kg).
The tournament will provide a good chance to choose the candidates for the team, which is supposed to take part in the Olympic Games in Beijing. Only, 5 weightlifters can take part in the Olympic Games.
Recently, the team held two-weak trainings in Russia, and the teams of other countries also attended the training.
