R.Ergun / The Azerbaijani national rhythmic gymnastics team is to finish trainings for participation in the European Championship, which will be held in Turin from 5 to 7 June, Shahin Kazimzade, head of the news-service of the Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation (AGF), told to Trend .
Aliya Garayeva and Dinara Gimatova, Azerbaijanis gymnastics, will represent Azerbaijan in the Beijing Olympic Games. Anna Gurbanova will attend the European Championship as a reserve category gymnast. The Azerbaijani gymnasts will play in the A group, which includes Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Bulgaria.
Samir Mustafayev and Nigar Abdulsalimova will also represent Azerbaijan in the junior category. Vafa Huseynova, Anna Bitiyeva, Valeriya Yegay, Alina Trepina and Anastasiya Prasolova will play with the group teams.
About 21 seniors, 100 juniors and 16 groups from 31 European countries will participate in the Championship.
