Pretenders to Name of Congress of World Azerbaijanis will be Sued: Chairman

Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 June / corr. Trend J. Babayeva/ The chairman of the Congress of World Azerbaijanis (CWA) and MP Sabir Rustamkhanli believes that the differences and crisis ongoing within the organization have ended recently. "The 10th special meeting of CWA held on 6 to 8 June in the German city of Keln is fully legitimate and now the pretenders to the name of CWA will be sued," Rustamkhanli said on 11 June in a press conference in Baku.

CWA divided into two parts again and 11 members out of 16 members of the Board of Chairmen decided to remove chairman Golamrza Sabri Tabrizi from his post and elected Sabir Rustamkhanli chairman. The remaining part of the members supported the chairmanship of Golamrza Sabri Tabrizi and they are going to hold meeting on 22-23 June in Brussels ( Belgium). Some 300 representatives and guests from 25 countries took part in the CWA meeting presided over by Rustamkhanli. Changes were made to the regulations and program of the organization. The co-chairmanship institute will be established in CWA with Sabir Rustamkhanli and Firudin Parvizyani being elected co-chairman. Golamrza Sabri Tabrizi considers Keln meeting to be illegitimate.

According to Rustamkhanli, Keln meeting covered a lot of countries. "A large number of representatives from South Azerbaijan took part in the conference for the first time. All delegates took part in the meeting on the basis of mandate," Rustamkhanli said.

According to Rustankhanli, it was decided to establish permanent headquarters of CWA in Brussels. "The permanent headquarters of CWA will be informational and coordination body. It will be inaugurated after the after preparation work ends," CWA chairman said.

According to Rustamkhanli, the CWA documents will be re-registered in Sweden in two weeks.

The supporters of Tabrizi stated to journalists during the press conference that the meeting held in Keln is illegitimate. "Only four countries were represented in CWA meeting in Keln while they claim this figure to be 25. This fact shows that illegitimacy of the meeting," the statement said.
