Azerbaijan, Lankaran, 7 July / corr. Trend P.Aliyeva / A total of four suicides were registered in Lankaran District of Azerbaijan (270km south from Baku) in January to June, Rafig Gasimov, chief of the Centre of forensic medical examination and pathologic anatomy, told Trend on 7 July.
A total of six suicides were committed in Lankaran in the same period of 2007 and 12 suicides over 2007.
Gasimov said that three of four self murderers were men and one is woman. A total of three suicides were committed through hanging and one was self-immolation.
According to the Centre, social and economic problems, family conflicts, drug addiction, unemployment and strong nervous shock are main reasons of suicides.
