Azerbaijani Football Club Signs Contract with Two Brazilian Footballers

Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 July / corr. Trend R.Ergun / Olimpic football club, which will represent Azerbaijan in the UEFA Cup, signed a contract with two footballers, the club told Trend on 14 July.

Olimpic, who gained silver medals at the Azerbaijani Premier League last season, inked a one-year contract with Junivan Suares, a Brazilian footballer. This forward played within Olimpic in 2007. Although he was expected to leave the club after the championship, the leadership of the club decided to sign a new contract with the footballer at the last moment.

At the same time, Olimpic inked a one-year contract with Leanardo Gomesh, a Brazilian forward, who earlier played for Baki club. This forward plays for the Azerbaijani National team, as well.

The Azerbaijani club will meet with the Serbian club of Voyevodina in the UEFA Cup. The first match will be in Serbia on 17 July and response match in Baku on 31 July.

Olimpic will leave for Serbia to hold the first match with Voyevodina club in the evening of 14 July.
