Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 July / Тrend News corr. E.Aliyev/ Azerbaijan's Ministry of Youth & Sports allotted a grant of AZN 7,000 to an NGO to conduct a propaganda campaign against drug addiction.
The pilot project will be implemented in the Agjabadi region of Azerbaijan.
According to statistics, there are 21,080 drug addicts registered in Azerbaijan, most of them youth. As compared to 2007, number of registered drug addicts has grown by 3,000.
Experts say in fact the figure is much higher. Every year drug addicts circle includes younger people.
