Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 August / Trend corr. I.Alizade / Rabiyyat Aslanova, the chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Commission on Human Rights, did not exclude presence of forces willing to violate tolerance and stability in religious sphere the country.
"Perhaps, there are forces who intend to influence Azerbaijan through destabilization of situation in favor of their own interests," Aslanova, the chairman of the Standing Parliamentary Commission on Human Rights said to Trend on 21 August.
On 17 August a blast took place at the Abu Bakr Mosque in U. Bunyadzade Street of Baku city at 08.50PM. Unknown man breaking the mosque's window with stone threw in two RGD-1 grenades. According to the official reports, blast killed two while unofficial source repot it to be three.
According to the chairman of the commission, Azerbaijan is able to prevent this pressure.
"We should know that alongside with people, who are glad for Azerbaijan's success, there are people, who cannot accept it. We should mobilize our resistance forces in response of any such attempt," Aslanova said.
According to Aslanova, Azerbaijan has never experienced inter-religious differences and contradictions. The Law on Freedom of Consciousness enables all religious communities and trends function equally, she said.
"Religious figures arriving in Azerbaijan confirm that existence of religious tolerance in the country sets an example for the whole world. Incident happening at the Abu Bakr Mosque cannot affect relations amongst religions and trends," Aslanova said.
