The court on the bank management and employees, who misappropriated clients' money was launched in Azerbaijan.
Judge Alovsat Abbasov presided over the preparatory meeting on the case of ex-director of the Baku branch of Texnikabank Zal Yusifov and its employees Vuqar Bahbudov, İslam Yusifov, Samaya Mammadova, Ramal Yusifov, Rauf Ahmadov, Ulvi Huseynov, Faxri Huseynov, Dagıstan Nasirov, Akif Hasanov, Elshan Hasanov, İntigam Sultanov, Mubariz Zaynalov, Saleh Gasımov, Mahammad Mursslov, at the Azerbaijani Court of Serious Crimes on Aug.21.
About 81 clients suffered from the criminal activities Yusifov and the bank's employees. The accused embezzled deposits worth 10 million manat of the suffered.
The police arrested the convicted on Sep. 25, 2008. The activities of the bank's Baku branch were suspended.
They are accused of the Article 178 (Fraud), 179 (Misappropriation or peculation), 320 (Falsification, issue and sale of official documents, government awards, seals, stamps, blanks, or the use of forged documents) and 326 (Official documents, seals, stamps larceny or destruction) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
The next hearings are scheduled for Aug.24.
