Taliban IED maker arrested near Afghan capital

Afghan Defense Ministry Tuesday in a statement announced arresting of a Taliban mastermind of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and roadside bombs in Logar province, some 80 km south from Afghan capital Kabul, Xinhua reported.
  
"A high-ranking member of insurgents who is professional in making IEDs has been arrested along with 300 mines by personnel of Afghan National Army (ANA)," the statement added.
  
However, it did not disclose the location and the exact time but an ANA official Capitan Mohammad Harif told Xinhua that the army arrested a terrorist who were making roadside bomb in Mohammad Agha district of Logar province.
  
He added that ANA has found over 300 mines after searching the compound.
  
In another incident, four civilians were killed and five others wounded as their car hit a roadside bomb in Afghanistan's eastern Paktica province on Monday, official said on Tuesday.
  
The provincial administration spokesman Hamidullah Zuwak told Xinhua that the incident took place in Yousuf Khil district late Monday and all victims were labours who were coming from Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan.
