The number of people in Iran infected with A/H1N1 has reached 285, a member of the Center for Infectious Diseases in the Iranian Health Ministry, Bizhan Sadrizade, said, Irna news agency reported.
A 36-year old woman infected with the virus A/H1N1 has died recently, Sadrizade said.
According to the İrna news agency, the first case of swine flu infection in Iran was recorded on July.14.
Currently the A/H1N1 virus has spread to 177 countries and contaminated approximately 200,000 people, with 1,800 fatalities. According to the forecast of the World Health Organization, the swift spread of the virus worldwide raises the threat of contamination for two billion people.
The main symptoms of the A/H1N1 are fever, sore throat, cough and in some cases diarrhea.
