Iran again sends two military vessels to Gulf of Aden

In order to combat sea pirates Iran in the Gulf of Aden has sent two warships, reports the Iranian Mehr news agency reported.

"To ensure the safety of the Iranian ships in the Gulf of Aden and on the shores of Somalia, two military vessels Khark and Sabalan today will leave the Bandar Abbas port," the Iranian Navy Commander of the first region, Fariborz Gadiripanah said.

He said earlier two groups of ships were sent to the region. Crews of the Kharq and Sabalan consist of 388 people. They will be located in the Gulf of Aden for two months.
