A/H1N1 virus infects 328 people, kills 2 in Iran

The number of the people infected with A/H1N1 ("Swine flue") has reached 328, including 2 fatalities, Director of the Center for Infectious Disease under the Iranian Health ministry, Mohammed Mehdi Guya said, Iranina Fars news agency reported.

The average number of swine flue cases increase sby 50 people per week. A 36-year old drug-addicted woman and 96-year old man, whose treatment was futile, died as a result.

The center expects new splash of diseases with the beginning of cold weather. The Center calls the people to avoid visits abroad and follow rules of personal hygiene.

In Iran, the first swine flue case was registered on July.14, Irna news agency reported.

Currently A/H1N1 virus is spread in 177 countries and has killed 3,000 people.

The main symptoms are fever, sore throat, cough, in some cases diarrhea.
