The Azerbaijani public budget allocated about 60 million manat for a new academic year, Azerbaijani Education Minister, Misir Mardanov, told journalists on Sept.3.
The funds were issued for constructing new schools and purchasing new equipment. About 50 new schools will be commissioned in the new academic year. Pupils of more than 100 Azerbaijani schools will be trained in physics and chemistry in the new laboratories with modern equipment, Mardanov said.
In Azerbaijan, the academic year will begin on Sept.15.
