Members of organized gang accused of pension stealing sentenced in Azerbaijan

The trial over members of a gang accused of stealing pensions of 52 pensioners was over in Ganja in the west of Azerbaijan (365 kilometers of Baku).
Mehran Huseynov, 18, was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment, Anar Huseynov, 23, - to 6 years, Adalat Mustafayev, 19, and Ruzigar Mammadov to 5 years at a trial in the court on October 16.
They robbed resident of Bayramli village of Shamkir region Sanaya Aliyeva and Banovsha Alekberova in Ganja on March 20. They stole pensions of 52 fellow-villagers.
They robbed women's bag with 3,900 manat and 52 pension cards by sprinkling them with tear-gas and run away. As a result of operative actions of police, criminals were detained.
