The Azerbaijani Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has announced a state of emergency in connection with the invasion of Moroccan and Asian dragonflies.
They destroyed 20-25 hectares of green area on the site Navai-Hajigabul highway of Alat-Hajigabul, the Ministry of Environment told Trend.
Despite the actions (drug spraying, fertilizers, additional cultivation and watering operations) conducted by the office for pest control of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the center of emergencies and local organizations, the situation has not been changed and the department of forests went on intensive mode.
According to specialists, destroyed trees and shrubs will restore their strength, the Ministry of Environment said.
