The Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan today showed a film directed by Ziya Shikhlinski, "The Artist Drawing from Heart" about great Azerbaijani painter Tahir Salahov.
Russian Ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin said everyone who came to the embassy today, came, first of all, to pay tribute and express most sincere and deep feelings about Salahov.
"Thanks for a movie about a legendary person, who is equally talented, charming and magnificent, thank you for showing it in our embassy," Dorokhin said. "Tahir Salahov is a great citizen of my motherland."
He said that dynasties have a great role in the development of relations among the countries. "Thanks to dynasties such as Salahov's, the relationship between our countries will remain at the same high level as today," Dorokhin said.
Shikhlinski said the music of the great Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev was of great importance for the success of the film.
"I have shot films about the iconic figures, and perhaps the most iconic figure to me is Salahov," he said.
According to Shikhlinski, the film's crew worked with feelings and heart.
After the demonstration, Salahov thanked the embassy for a holiday for creative people.
