The Azerbaijani State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Kuwaiti Social Development, Family and Solidarity Ministry signed a memorandum on cooperation in improving family welfare, development of women and child protection.
Baku hosts a round-table discussion on "Women in Islam: Achievements and Challenges".
The Kuwaiti delegation led by Kuwaiti Women's Affairs Committee Chairperson Sheikha Latifa Al-Fahd Al-Salim Al-Sabah also attends the event organized by the Azerbaijani State Committee.
Al-Sabah appraised the role of women in social and political life of Azerbaijan.
"The Azerbaijani women are actively involved in social and political life of their country," she told Trend.
The Kuwaiti delegation has arrived in Azerbaijan on Wednesday.
