The Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov's operetta "Arshin Mal Alan" has been staged in the Chinese language in Beijing at the Tianqiao Theater, the Azerbaijani Embassy in China told Trend.
The operetta has been staged on the initiative of the Azerbaijani Embassy in China with the support of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Azerbaijani State Opera and Ballet Theater and the Chinese National Opera.
The Azerbaijani Embassy and the Chinese National Opera held all the necessary organizational and propaganda works in the staging of the operetta's premiere.
The last staging of the operetta " Arshin Mal Alan" in China was held in 1991.
The report said that the Azerbaijani Embassy in China with the assistance of Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Azerbaijani State Opera and Ballet Theater, invited the chief director of the Theater, Honored Art Worker Hafiz Guliyev and Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Tahir Tahirov to China.
