Expert: Azerbaijanis, owners of legal businesses in Moscow, will not face difficulties during Sobyanin’s reforms

Azerbaijanis, the owners of legal businesses in Moscow, will not face difficulties during the new mayor Sergei Sobyanin's reforms, Merchants and Manufacturers' Union Chairman Sevgim Rahmanov believes.

"The majority of Azerbaijanis working in Moscow is involved in small business. Their business is more flexible to any cataclysm in power, and they will take a "point of sale " in other markets when demolition of some markets, Rahmanov told Trend.

Sobyanin was appointed Moscow mayor after Yuri Luzhkov's dismissal Oct. 21. After appointment Sobyanin said he intends to deal with spontaneous markets in the capital, as well as with illegal transporters. According to him, there are about 80 spontaneous markets Moscow, which are regulated in no way. "These streams are taking away taxes, financial resources from the legal field, make civilized trade less competitive," Sobyanin said earlier. He voiced his willingness to deal with this problem and said he is ready to immediately solve the situation with the presence of unfair competition in trade.

Deputy Executive Director of All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis Ilgar Hajiyev told Trend over telephone that after the change of power in Moscow Azerbaijanis working here, who are mainly involved in city beautification, and business, face no problem. According to him, for the period since the appointment of the new mayor of Moscow, the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis has not faced with compatriots' complaints.
