Heydar Aliyev Academy under Azerbaijani National Security Ministry reveres national leader's memory

The Heydar Aliyev Academy under the Azerbaijani Ministry of National Security held a commemoration ceremony of Azerbaijani national leader, the public relations department said.

Those present paid tribute to the cherished memory of Azerbaijani national leader and laid flowers at the monument erected in front of the museum "Shohret" ("Glory"). The ceremony was continued in the auditorium of the academy.

Addressing the meeting, Lieutenant-General Ziya Yusifzade, the head of the Academy, noted that the seventh anniversary of the national leader's death is marked all over the country. The personnel of the Ministry of National Security played a significant role in developing special service bodies of Azerbaijan.

Heydar Aliyev had great love for the motherland, his people. He was a defender of national interests. He has devoted all his energy, inexhaustible energy, his experience to Azerbaijan, Yusifzade said.

In his speech Lieutenant-General stressed Heydar Aliyev's unique characteristics. He also noted that the great leader was always a deep thinking person. He had phenomenal memory, encyclopedic knowledge and great oratorical qualities. Lieutenant General also said that Heydar Aliyev has initiated the process of nationalization in the security bodies, a symbol of loyalty to his people, nation and homeland.

Today, the political course of Heydar Aliyev's worthy successor, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President Aliyev serves to the welfare of the people, the power of the state. The achievements are the result of loyalty to the heritage of the national leader, Yusifzade said.

The students also noted the care provided by national leader. Azerbaijan maintained its independence thanks to the national leader.

A documentary film about Heydar Aliyev's life and activity was demonstrated at the end of the ceremony.
