DAAD educational program to provide ten scholarship for Azerbaijani students

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with the Open Society Institute has selected ten Azerbaijani students to continue their education at universities in Germany. All they will be paid stipend.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with the Open Society Institute has selected ten Azerbaijani students to continue their education at universities in Germany. All they will be paid stipend.

"Sixty people attended the selection, which is held one in two years, and they claim for ten places," Deputy of the German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Ziegler said.

Ziegler said this program operates in Azerbaijan since 2001 and is funded by the German Foreign Ministry.

"In our view, it is important scholarships, since education in law and social sciences are very important for the further development of Azerbaijan," Ziegler said.

More than 1.5 million students were educated through DAAD since its establishment in 1925. The Service represents the German universities abroad. The organization has14 regional offices and more than 400 lecturers.
