It was noted that the number of cases considered by the civil collegium of the Supreme Court increased by 6.4 percent, administrative and economic collegium - 33.7 percent, the criminal collegium - by 15.4 percent.

The number of appeals on civil, criminal, administrative and economic affairs, received by the Azerbaijani Supreme Court increased last year, said at a meeting of the Plenum of the Supreme Court.

It was noted that the number of cases considered by the civil collegium of the Supreme Court increased by 6.4 percent, administrative and economic collegium - 33.7 percent, the criminal collegium - by 15.4 percent.

The number of cases considered by the military collegium of the Supreme Court has decreased by seven percent. Total number of cases in the Supreme Court has increased by 10.1 percent

Last year the Supreme Court considered 5,354 cases compared to 4,862 cases in 2009.

Last year, the Supreme Court received 19,918 appeals, which is 10.6 percent less than the same indicator in 2009.

The Plenum also approved action plan for the first half year.
