According to the amendments to the Azerbaijani legislation, people who have limited driving right for one year or less, a driver's license must be returned at the end of this period without examination.
A decision was made to include Article 456.3 into the Code of Administrative Violations at the last meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
This article will indicate that people, whose driving term is restricted for a period of more than one year, a driver's license must be returned on the day of passing the exam on the driving rules.
Before changing the legislation, a driver with a temporarily limited period of driving, must take the exam again. Afterwards, he is able to drive.
The legislation limits the driving right for a period from two months to two years in case of rough and constant violation of the provisions of the law.
The drivers' right who have ten or more points within a year will be limited without using administrative fines for violations according to the following articles 151.2, 151.3, 151.4, 155.3 and 156 of the Code of Administrative Violations.
According to the article 2.13, people whose driving right was temporarily restricted, driver's licenses are returned only after they are medically examined and their knowledge, driving skills are checked.
