In Azerbaijan, an order was issued on seriously following the rules of ethical conduct by civil servants, Bahram Khalilov, chairman of the Public Service Commission under the President of Azerbaijan, told Trend.
"The scope of the rules of ethical conduct is very broad. These include the relationship between civil servants and citizens, between the civil servants themselves, the actions in connection with corruption offenses, etc. We have given an internal order on the strengthening of internal control in this regard. The rules of ethical conduct should be adhered by all civil servants," Khalilov said.
According to him, every civil servant must act within the legal powers. "Going beyond this authority is a violation of the rules of ethical conduct," Khalilov said.
According to him, the preparation of the rules of ethical conduct has been recommended in the State Program on Fighting Corruption, as well as by GREKO international organization, specializing in combating corruption.
