Water content of rivers increased in Azerbaijan

The water content of mountain rivers especially in Lankaran-Astara regions has been recently increased due to precipitation in Azerbaijan in the third decade of February, the national hydrometeorology department of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources said.

The water content of mountain rivers especially in Lankaran-Astara regions has been recently increased due to precipitation in Azerbaijan in the third decade of February, the national hydrometeorology department of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources said.
"At present, the water content in the rivers of the Big Caucasus in Balaken-Sheki region - 235-265 percent of the ten-day norm, in the rivers of the Small Caucasus - 110-155 percent, Lankaran-Astara region - 210 -265 percent, Guba-Khachmaz - 120-175 percent, " the statement said.
The highest water level in the Kura river is observed in Zardab section. It hits 216 cm.
The water content in the rivers of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic reduced. It hits 80 percent of the ten-day norm.
