Minister evaluated the chances of Azerbaijan at Eurovision.
"It's necessary to prepare with the will to win to all competitions," he said. "Really, there is strong competition at the contest. Our representatives performed well at the semi-final. I hope that we will achieve great results," Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev told media.
Azerbaijani representatives Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal successfully performed in the first semifinal of Eurovision Song Contest 2011. It was held in Esprit Arena in Düsseldorf.
They successfully performed a song by Swedish authors, "Running Scared." They performed under their stage name "El & Nikki" and were allowed to take part in the Eurovision final on May 14.
