Saakashvili promises to restore Ureki and Bakhmaro resorts

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili promised the construction of the boulevard up to the 1800 meters to the people of the village Ureki of Ozurgeti region (region Guria, Western Georgia). Landscaping, installation of modern street lighting and installation of benches are planned in the frame of rehabilitation.
The main entrance to the boulevard should be completely reconstructed. Up to 200 people, most of whom are local residents, will be employed. The project is fully funded from the state budget.
Saakashvili said, in addition works on the design of water supply systems of Ureki are being implemented. Water supply and sanitation are fully amortized in the village. The beginning of the construction is scheduled for 2013 and the completion - 2014. New reservoirs and the stations will be constructed. Water treatment plant will be built in order to avoid contamination of the water. The population will be provided with water after the completion of the work. Asian Development Bank financed the rehabilitation work. The project cost $17 million.
The President said there will be a good ski resort and sea resorts Bakhmaro and Ureki in Ozurgeti.
