Azerbaijan's religious tolerance experience can be exemplary for other countries worldwide

Azerbaijan's experience in the field of religious tolerance can be used as a model for other countries worldwide, OSCE project coordinator in Baku, Ambassador Alexis Shakhtakhtinski said at an international conference on religious tolerance in Baku Nov. 17.
He said that the representatives of many religions and ethnic groups live in Azerbaijan in terms of mutual respect.
The ambassador said that sometimes the religious factor is used in the world to achieve the political goals. He stressed the importance of preventing violence, religious phobias in the world.
"This problem is relevant worldwide, including the OSCE area," he said. "It can be prevented only by common efforts."
