YARAT Contemporary Art Centre is organizing the event 'Night at the Museum', which is aimed at all residents and visitors of Baku on 6th June.
'Night at the Museum' is an extraordinary annual event, which has already taken place for almost forty years in more than 143 countries around the world to promote intellectual curiosity. In Azerbaijan, it will take place for the second time. In addition to the traditional exploration of collections and exhibitions, on this day guests will experience a modern museum offering unlimited opportunities for active education and enjoyment.
'Night at the Museum' starts at 11:00 and will last until late at night. Everyone who joins in will find something that will appeal to them.
The Centre will be transformed on this day, just for you!
The day's program will include the following:
11:00- 12:30 - Open air yoga session with experienced instructor Hamid Elsevar Hamidzade.
12:30 - 14:00 - Open air yoga session with Irina Berezina who is the instructor of "Yoga Shahi" Studio.
12:00 - 13:30- Zumba master class will be presented by two-time national champion of Latin America dances and the founder of "HARMONY" dance studio Farid Mehdiyev.
12:00-14:00 -Healthy food workshop with chef and co-founder of the project Gurmaniya (Gourmets) Farhad Ashurbeyli (pre-registration required). 15:00 - 16:00 - For lovers of local history, there will be an encounter with the most interesting mysteries of Baku with well-known story-teller and researcher Fuad Akhundov.
16:00 - 19:00 - Consultancy on Contemporary Art topic with experts:
art critic, Ph.D. in Art theory and the executive director of YARAT Contemporary Art Space Farid Abdullayev, artist Chingiz Babayev and art critic Jahangir Selimkhanov
17:00- 18:30 - Art therapy session hosted by psychologist with international experience Elizabeth Brandolini (pre-registration required).
18:00- 21:00 - Bike tour through the local museums will be organized with the support of VeloBaku amateur cycling club and "Shark Head" club.
19:30-21:00- "Exit through the gift shop" film screening.
22:00 - 23:00 - "ABanndonAir" rock band performance.
22:00-02:00 -DJ Pancho & cocktail party.
