Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces are continuing large-scale drills, Defense Ministry said in a message Nov. 14.
The exercises are aimed at inspection of the command of troops and operational use of weapons in the field conditions.
Tasks of the exercises include bringing the troops into the state of combat readiness, conducting defensive operations, as well as preparing and carrying out counter-offensives.
More than 60,000 servicemen are participating in the drills that will continue until Nov. 18.
Also, over 50 planes and helicopters, more than 150 tanks and armored combat vehicles, as well as up to 700 systems of rocket and artillery troops are involved in the drills.
Drones will conduct aerial reconnaissance during the exercises.
