The Days of Hungary kicked off in Baku Mar. 16.

The book entitled "The Tragedy of Man" by famous Hungarian poet Imre Madach was presented at the event in the Azerbaijani language.

The event supported by the Hungarian embassy in Baku was organized in the Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s spouse Aniko Levai attended the presentation.

While opening the event, Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Imre Laszloczki stressed that the Days of Hungary are being held on the eve of the ancient holiday of the Azerbaijani people - Novruz.

The Azerbaijan-Hungary relations have historical roots, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Isa Habibbayli said.

Habibbayli said that during the years of Azerbaijan's independence, the relations between the two countries have more expanded.

The Hungarian music will be performed at the International Mugham Center Mar. 16 at 17:30 (UTC/GMT+4).

A workshop will be held in the Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Mar. 17 at 11:00 (UTC/GMT+4). The representatives of the scientific communities of the two countries will take part in the workshop.

The Hungarian textile industry will be presented in the Carpet Museum at 16:00 (UTC/GMT+4).

An exhibition of Hungarian artists and a gala concert with the participation of Hungarian musicians will be held in the Heydar Aliyev Center at 19:00 (UTC/GMT+4).
