A delegation of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, who is on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met the Azerbaijanis living in Ar-Riyadh city.
The meeting begun with the national anthem of Azerbaijan. Then, Shahin Abdullayev, ambassador of the Republic of the Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delivered an opening speech and highly appreciated the visit of the delegation of the State Committee to this country.
Then, a video commercial related to the work of the State Committee was demonstrated. Fuad Muradov, the Committee Chairman gave information about the activity of the state body led by him, and about the implemented projects.
He also drew attention to the establishment of the Coordination Council according to the “Strategic Route Map”, establishment of the Azerbaijani houses for compatriots living abroad, launching diaspora map and recruitment of the campaign materials on the social networks and etc.
He called on Azerbaijanis to be active on social networks and join a large diaspora family.
Expressing their satisfaction with the visit of the State Diaspora Committee to the Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijanis spoke about the challenges they face, and exchanged views on the projects to be implemented in this country with the purpose of promotion of our national –cultural values in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Some of the problems were clarified right at the meeting.
