The National Gymnastics Arena in Azerbaijan hosted podium training of athletes, participants of the upcoming 28th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships, which will be held on March 10-13 for the first time in Baku, Trend reports.
According to the list of countries registered to participate in the competition, 170 gymnasts from 17 countries will participate.
Athletes in women's, mixed and men's pairs, women's and men's groups will perform balanced, tempo and combined exercises at the competition, which will be held over four days.
At the 28th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships, Azerbaijan will be represented by European champions among juniors, Men's Pair of Daniel Abbasov and Murad Rafiyev, winners of international tournaments, Mixed Pair of Sabir Aghayev and Mehriban Salamova, as well as silver and bronze medalists of the European Championship, Mixed Pair of Aghasif Rahimov and Raziya Seyidli.
The 1st Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships in Azerbaijan was held in 2018, and March 3-6, the 12th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions took place on March 3-6, 2022.
