US universities award doctoral scholarships worth over $100,000 to three students of Baku Higher Oil School (PHOTO)

5th year students of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Khagan Karimov, Sanan Hasanov and Isa Jafarov, who are majoring in Process Automation Engineering, have entered doctoral studies at US universities with full a scholarship, without having a master's degree. Each of these students was awarded a scholarship from a US university in the amount of more than US$ 100,000. They will study in the direction "Cybersecurity" of the Computer Science specialty.

Regardless of the fact that each of these students had been admitted simultaneously to several universities, Khagan Karimov chose the University of Utah, Sanan Hasanov chose the University of Central Florida, and Isa Jafarov chose the City University of New York.

It should be noted that all the three students entered Baku Higher Oil School in 2017 with high scores, and now, along with studying at the university, they work in various companies.

Khagan Karimov was admitted to BHOS with 695 points. He works as a Penetration Tester at the Irish company Cyrex. The BHOS student was awarded a $122,320 scholarship from the University of Utah. Apart from this university, he received an offer from the Pennsylvania State University.

Sanan Hasanov entered Baku Higher Oil School with 685 points. He works as a Penetration Tester at the company Azerconnect and cooperates with the Ukrainian company Eska Global on a contract basis. Apart from the University of Central Florida, Sanan received offers from the Ohio State University, the Washington State University, and the University of Texas at Arlington. The BHOS student was awarded a $125,000 scholarship from the University of Central Florida.

Isa Jafarov was admitted to BHOS with 695 points. He currently works as an Information Security Specialist at Bank Respublika and as a Penetration Tester at Cyrex. Apart from the City University of New York, Isa received offers from the University of Colorado, the University of Alabama, and the Colorado School of Mines. The BHOS student was awarded a $135,000 scholarship from the City University of New York.
