BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 25. Over the past 5 years, 1 million people have received employment services in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev said, Trend reports.
He spoke at the presentation ceremony of the "Karabakh SME" project.
The minister noted that one of the main lines of Azerbaijan's policy is the implementation of the "Great Return" program, and so far, about 2,900 citizens have been resettled in Azerbaijan's Karabakh.
"One of our main goals is to provide employment for the citizens resettled in Karabakh. About 70 percent of them have already been provided with it. We will continue to strengthen this process. Without employment, there can be no stable welfare. Employment programs should address the majority of the population. Over the past 5 years, 1 million people have received employment services," the minister noted.
Babayev emphasized that more than 380,000 services were rendered to the families of 124,000 war participants, veterans, and martyrs.
A presentation of the "SME Karabakh" project is being held, implemented under the joint organization of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (KOBİA) and the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan.
Representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, State Employment Agency, KOBİA and other state institutions, members of parliament, veterans who joined the project, war veterans, members of families of Martyrs participate in the event.
