BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 14. Renovation and improvement works at the "Khagani" Garden and adjacent areas in the Sabail district of Baku have been concluded, Trend reports.
The "Khagani" Garden has been expanded with the roads surrounding Rasul Rza, Gogol and Khagani streets closed and converted into pedestrian-only areas. Additionally, the improvements in the park spanning a total of 1.4 hectares included expanded green area, upgraded lighting, installation of modern benches, creation of children's playground, and renovation and improvement works carried out on the adjacent residential buildings.
The garden is one of the recreational areas revitalized in accordance with the President’s directives for the capital renovation and reconstruction of parks and alleys in Baku. In a short period, this centrally located garden has been transformed into a wonderful spot for citizens to relax.
The reopening of the garden during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1 and ahead of the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku will contribute significantly to providing a pleasant environment for tourists visiting the city.
Previously, the area around the garden was noisy, but now all necessary work has been completed to ensure a comfortable space for relaxation and leisure activities for the city's residents.
