BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. Azerbaijan has been entrusted with hosting the next annual event of the UN's GlobE Network, Trend reports, citing the country’s Prosecutor General's Office.
Following the 5th plenary meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies (GlobE), established under the auspices of the United Nations, took place in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, from September 24 to 27 of this year.
The event saw participation from over 400 representatives from more than 100 countries, along with more than 10 international organizations. Azerbaijan was represented by Natig Eyvazov, head of the Organizational and Informational Support Department of the Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General, and Senior Prosecutor Aflatun Huseynov.
The plenary meeting continued with a high-level forum, country presentations, and panel discussions. Elections were held for the governing body of the organization, and the report for GlobE for 2023, along with the strategic plan for 2025-2027 and the Beijing Agreement, were discussed and adopted
During the organization's plenary session, Natig Eyvazov was chosen to join the fifteen-person executive committee.
After the event, a unanimous decision was made to hold the 6th plenary meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies (GlobE) in Azerbaijan in 2025.
