The Azerbaijani national box team arranged to hold a check match with U.S. team. The forthcoming trip scheduled for December will come as Azerbaijanis’ reply visit to the United States [the U.S. team visited Baku late 2004], Agajan Abiyev, the President of the National Box Federation, told Trend.
According Abiyev, the matches will be of traditional character and teams will face in turn in Baku and the United States. Abiyev also noted that the major goal of both teams is successful fight at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
At the first match in Baku the Azerbaijani boxers won the rivals almost in all weight categories.
