“On Monday Fikrat Mirzayev, the lawyer of President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Eldar Salayev, addressed to the Court of Appeals,” the lawyer told Trend.
The sitting of the court was held under the chairmanship of the Nasimi district judge Khilal Khalilov at the Azerbaijani National Safety Ministry in 29 October evening. Salayev was sentenced to 3-month imprisonment, but the defense filed an appeal in regard the sentence.
Salayev is accused on items 28,220.1 of the Criminal Code (preparations for mass disorders) and 278 (attempt to access to power by force).
