Aflatun Amashov, the chairman of the Media Press (MP), addressed to Fikrat Mammadov, the Azerbaijani Justice Minister, MP told Trend.
The address says that there are no hindrances for issue of newspapers, magazines in Azerbaijan, where over 2,000 publications function. It is indicator of uninterrupted increase of publications. The document also notes existence of racketeers among journalists. “The Justice Ministry must help in prevention of such cases, take appropriate measures as state body and draw up proposals for discussion at the Milli Majlis (Parliament),” the message stresses.
The document also includes some proposals on improvement of legislative base in the press.
