The Nasimi district court released Akif Maharramov, the former Deputy Minister of Health, also the head of the Pharmaceutics Division of the Health Ministry, Trend reports quoting Alladin Jafarov, the chairman of the Nasimi district court.
The court came to the conclusion that Maharramov had serious health problems. Taking into consideration impossibility of treatment diabetic in the prison conditions, the court made a sentence on replacement of imprisonment with house arrest.
One of the accusations in regard to Maharramov is misappropriation of state property through abuse of duty.
