The OSCE commissar on national minorities will visit Azerbaijan, the permanent parliamentary commission human rights told Trend.
The visit targets familiarity with the situation of the national minorities in Azerbaijan. Rabiyyat Aslanova, the chairman of the commission, came out with the relevant proposal at the 5th winter session of the OSCE held in Vienna in February. The OSCE commissar on national minorities accepted the invitation. They noted that if the visit is not paid shortly, Aslanova will anew pt forward the issue at the July session of the organization.
The commission also announced that Azerbaijan has no problem with the protection of human rights. Appeals by the heads of the some non-governmental organizations to the international institutes about violation of human rights in Azerbaijan are groundless. Therefore, the OSCE commissar has been invited to Azerbaijan to get familiar with the matter.
