The level of the illegal cut down of the forests has increased by 23% in result of the works carried out by the Forestry Protection Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan. Therefore, according to the order of the Minister of Ecology, the Head of the Forestry Protection and Restoration of Balakeni district was dismissed from his position due to the serious shortfalls.
