Rebecca Naslend, Chancellor on Political Issues of the US Embassy to Azerbaijan has observed premises allotted to Newspaper Azadlig in Publishing House Azerbaijan, Ganimat Zahed, Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper told Trend.
According to him, the representative of the American Embassy got acquainted with conditions on how the office equipment of the editorial is kept in the warehouse of the Publishing House, as well as the premises allotted to Azadlig Editorial on the 8th floor. The directorate of the Publishing House liberated the premises and addressed to the staff of Azadlig with a request to come and settle there. Mr. Zahed said that even if they gave a positive answer on this request, it would be impossible to move the editorial today or tomorrow, since the Paper was to publish its regular issue, and that could harm the work of the whole editorial. We could move there only on Sunday, said Mr. Zahed
The editorial of Kaspiy (Caspian) previously located on the 8 th floor of the Publishing House has moved to the fourth one.
Azadlig Newspaper and some other organizations have been expelled from their offices and the building where they have been located for a long time (33, Khagani Street).
