Senior ECO Tourist Experts Meeting in Tehran

Senior tourist experts from Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states will meet in Tehran for the first time on December 11-13.

According to a report released by the Public Relations Department of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) on Saturday, the meeting will be attended by senior tourist experts from eight Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states.

It added that the meeting aims to promote tourism in the eight ECO member countries and establish a tourist center in Iran, reports Trend.

Meanwhile, facilitating exchange of tourists among ECO member states is on the agenda of the three-day meeting and the participants are expected to present their proposals on the issue at the sessions.

On the last day of the event, guests attending the meeting, will be taken on a special sightseeing tour of the capital city of Tehran.

The inaugural ceremony of the event will be attended by senior tourist experts from Iran, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Pakistan and Uzbekistan as well as ICHHTO deputy head.
