Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizade / Hearings of the criminal case of Azerbaijani National Army soldier Vusal Qarajayev, who was taken prisoner by the Armenians in December 2006, were held at the Court of Heinous Crimes of Azerbaijan on 8 May presided by Judge Jamal Ramazanov.
Yunus Valeyev, the lawyer, reported that the next hearing will be held on 14 May and the investigation is expected to be concluded.
The investigation department on grave crimes instituted criminal proceedings against Garajayev in compliance with Articles 274 Criminal Code (parricide) and 338.1 (violation of guard relieving rules).
Garajayev Vusal, 19, was called up in 2006 by the Military Commission of the district of Balakan in Azerbaijan. Garajayev was taken a prisoner by Armenians on 7 December and was released on 23 December.
