Second European Forum of Azerbaijani Students Begins

Belgium, Brussels / corr. R.Tagiyev / The Second European Forum of the Azerbaijani Students (ATAF) began in Brussels on 14 May.

The Forum which takes place in the building of the European Parliament is attended by the Minister of Youth Peter Semneby. In addition, the Forum bring together the Azerbaijani students who will be educated in Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and other European countries, as well as representatives of youth organizations functioning in Azerbaijan. At the opening ceremony, the ATAF Secretary-General, Vusal Mammadov, presented brief information on the program of the Forum.

The head of the Azerbaijani Representation to the European Union, Emin Eyubov, highlighted the importance of conducting the Forum in one of the central cities of Europe. European Union's Special Envoy for South Caucasus, Peter Semneby, highly assessed the activities of the Azerbaijani students who receive their education in Europe. Touching upon relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union, Peter Semneby said that the relations are developing every day. He described the Azerbaijani students receiving education in Europe as a bridge between Europe and Azerbaijan. The Minister of Youth Azerbaijan, Azad Rahimov, stressed that such forums play a significant role in introducing Azerbaijan to Europe. He highly assessed the activities of ATAF.

Within the three-day forum, meetings and conferences will be organized in the European Parliament and NATO.
