Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / MP Huseyn Abdullayev, accused of hooliganism against his counterpart MP Fazail Agamaly, has been released from custody on 18 May.
The Sabayil District Court of Baku sentenced MP Abdullayev to a 2-year conditional imprisonment during the hearings held under the chairmanhsip of Judge Ilham Agayev.
Though the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit on Abdullayev in accordance with Article 132 (assault) and Article 221.2.2 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code, at the conclusion of the investigation, Article 132 was replaced with Article 128 (causing willful body injury).
An incident instigated between MPs Agamaly and Abdullayev on 16 March ended in a fight between them. At the Prosecutor's inquiry an extraordinary meeting of the parliament cancelled Abdullayev's immunity rights on 19 Match and he was arrested on the same day.
