Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / The date for the forum dedicated to the state of press in Azerbaijan has been fixed, the editor of the Gundalik Azerbaijan newspaper, Shahvalad Chobanoghlu, reported.
The decision to hold the forum on 29 June was made during the meeting of the Azerbaijan Union of Editors-in-Chief held on 22 June. The state of the press in Azerbaijan will be in the forum's agenda. The problem regarding the detainment of journalists and the financial state of press bodies is of major importance. The representatives of international organizations, foreign embassies, and authorities will be invited to participate in the meeting. A resolution will be adopted after the forum.
