Date for Entrance Exams to Azerbaijani Magistrate Programs Determined

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Alizadeh / The State Commission on Student Admissions (SCSA) will hold entrance examinations for magistrates to Azerbaijani Universities for 2007 and 2008 on 30 June.

For the first time, the admission of documents for magistrates will be held in accordance with modern computer standards.

At the first stage, candidates fill in the 'Electronic application for bachelors', which was newly created between 6-15 June, by the document admission commissions of the SCSA, functioning in Azerbaijani Universities.

The candidates received their 'Admission to exams' certificates in the aforesaid commission on 27, 28 and 29 June.

In 2007, 12,478 bachelors submitted their applications for 4,520 vacancies.

There are 11,035 candidates from Azerbaijan, and 1,443 Russians, 7,009 bachelors are 2007 graduates, and 5,469 are University graduates from preceding years.

The entrance exams will last two hours and thirty minutes.

Bachelors will be given fifty questions to test logic, twenty to test foreign language level, and thirty questions will be specialized. Each correct answer will merit one point. Bachelors who receive fifty points can pass entry in specialization on a paid and free basis. The number of points from the specialized questions should not be less than ten.
